CST On-Site Training

We invite you to schedule a training event for your company or team. Most of the training is completed within an hour, so it can be scheduled as part of your regular meeting schedule or as a lunch 'n learn event.

Currently we offer 3 training topics, shown below.

HDP TrainingExpansive High-Density Polyurethane for Structural and Infrastructure Repair.
This live training presentation includes a brief outline of the history and deployment of expansive polyurethane technology. Then, we review up to 20 varied projects associated with transportation, structures, foundations, concrete slab lifting and stabilization, infrastructure, and HDP soil compaction. This is an excellent first step in understanding proper deployment of HDP and UDI technology. This session often stimulates many questions related to the type of projects your firm specializes in. We will even customize based upon your needs.

Advances In Street MaintenanceAdvances in Street Maintenance Workshop
Prepared for road school environments, this workshop discusses issues to be considered when deploying polyurethanes for road, street, curb / gutter maintenance. Wel review cost, value, need evaluation methods, common deployment techniques, and bid / contract specifications. Case studies will be presented, including information on municipalities investigating polymer to correct sub-grade soil deterioration. This is appropriate for those involved in specifying use of HDP for DOTs, cities and counties.

Stabilizing Expansive ClaysStabilizing Expanding Soils Using Advanced Electrochemical Technology
This workshop describes the use of EcSS 3000® electrochemical to permanently reduce swelling in expansive clays. We focus initally on methods used for pre and post-construction projects. We explain in layman's terms the two swelling mechanisms that inhabit montmorillonite, the mineral present in all highly-expansive soils. A brief summary of scientic studies completed at Texas A&M and Penn State is presented. We then review five completed projects including geotechnical reports before and after treatment. This workshop is excellent for both geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, contractors, and building management groups who may be required to solve problems caused by expansive clays.
