WEAK SOILS
Uretek Deep Injection (UDI) technology provides an effective alternative to excavation and physical recompaction of soils. Using high-density expanding structural polymer injected strategically into weak soils can restore load-bearing capacity, fill voids, compact and reinforce soil.
SETTLEMENT PROBLEMS
When water erosion washes away soil fines virtually every structure above is subject to settlement. Immediate use of high-density expanding structural polymer can prevent structural damage or correct uneven surface conditions. Some materials are specially designed to give structural support even in wet conditions.
SWELLING SOILS / CLAYS
CST's electrochemical soil treatment is a very effective way to combat problems caused by "hot" soils. Without such a treatment, the expansion and contraction of those soils with the change in soil moisture can cause havoc on existing pavements and structures. In addition, this solution is often preferable in new construction because it can eliminate the high costs of over-excavation and / or structural floors.
S-I-T REPAIR
Micro-cracks in concrete slabs can now be repaired by installing specially-designed fiberglass reinforcements bound in place using polymers. This value-added engineering solution should be considered as an alternate to high-cost concrete replacement.
ASPHALT REPAIRS
When erosion or water-flow through cracks in asphalt occur, the deterioration of underlying soils compromises load distribution leading to surface damage, potholes, and sinkholes. CST's injectible expanding structural polymer provides a welcome alternative to excavation, especially in high-moisture environments.. |
